The Huntley Christie Award of Excellence was established in 2016, to honour and commemorate the rich legacy of the late, Dr. Huntley Palmer Christie, former local government adminstrator of the North Andros and Berry Islands districts, veteran educator, justice of the peace, community activist, poet, author, radio-host, lay pastor , visionary and  nationalist.  The award of excellence is given annually to the the valedictorian or salutorian of the Huntley Christie School, North Andros.  The 2022 award recipient, is Isaac Barr of Lowe Sound, North Andros, center (flanked by his mother to the left and presenter to the right, Mrs. Lerlean M. Christie). We salute Isaac Barr for his academic achievements and wish him continued sucess in all of his endeavours.
